Payment Terminals have become an essential element in any store. The ease with which consumers can pay, now without even contact, via credit card or smartphones is a reality that few want to give up.

The use of cash is becoming less and less common, and this has been even more noticeable since the coronavirus arrived in our country. The idea of containing the exchange of bills and coins made card payment even more popular, with the gesture that this entails within the stores of printing not only the purchase ticket but also two copies of the POS payment.

The use of payment terminals has increased considerably. And, with it, not only the maintenance of the same and the need for connection from the store but also the need to have rolls of paper available to be able to give the copy of the transaction to the customer and to continue printing, also, the purchase tickets” explain from La tienda del rollo. And they are right, in fact, more than 70% of buyers and consumers pay by card.

To understand the magnitude of this, it is necessary to know what this gesture means for a store.

A normal neighborhood store, with daily transactions, may need about 100-120 rolls per year to be able to print from the POS the sales paid by card. And this if we are talking about a small business, because large supermarkets and stores with more traffic, triple the requirements in each quarter.

We are experiencing a growth and record sales in recent months because, being the beginning of the year, many stores choose to bet on having stock. Our 80×60 thermal paper in packs of 80 units, which costs less than 54 euros, compared to other sites, can mean savings of up to 70% in price. This is causing demand to grow in order to respond to the trend on the street and avoid leaving the preferred form of payment of Spaniards unused” they explain.

In addition, for each POS transaction, two copies are printed: one for the retailer and one for the buyer. Despite the usual question, most of the buyers still take a receipt of the card purchase even though the fact that the Bank of Spain itself has already warned that it serves as a mere complement to the normal purchase receipt. What is advised, in case you do not want to take a copy, is to check the amount of the machine before putting the card or phone on it. Only then will the transaction be correct. However, to claim, in this case, a copy of the transaction on a bank statement would be enough.
